Challenge
Green Heroes set out to turn passive environmental awareness into meaningful action. While the TV series featured inspiring stories, the challenge was extending that impact beyond broadcast—engaging a digital audience, connecting stories to tangible actions, and building an ecosystem that could scale across platforms and communities.
Solution
I led the design and development of the GreenHeroes.tv website, creating a content hub that connected broadcast, social, and interactive experiences. The site featured short-form video profiles, clear pathways to action, and a structure that made it easy for users to explore heroes by theme and impact area.
To support engagement, I designed flexible templates for storytelling, integrated social sharing tools, and collaborated with developers to ensure seamless performance across devices. The platform was also designed to connect with the Green Heroes Academy app, creating a cohesive experience between inspiration (stories) and participation (missions and challenges).
Result
The platform helped extend the life of the TV series, transforming it into an interactive, multi-channel experience. Users were able to discover stories, share content, and participate in over 150 environmental actions.
Green Heroes successfully built an engaged community through its web presence, social campaigns, and partnerships—demonstrating how storytelling, when paired with accessible digital tools, can drive real-world behaviour change and lay the foundation for a scalable, global initiative.
