The platforms change. The fundamentals don’t.

Every two or three years, a new platform arrives with the same energy: this is the future, this changes everything, learn it now or get left behind. I’ve heard that pitch about Flash, Drupal, custom CMSes, Squarespace, WordPress, the headless wave, and now AI tools. Some of them did change things, for a while.

The work isn’t what takes the time

Most of what slows a project down isn't the work itself. It's the stuff around the work: the back-and-forth emails, the stall while someone tracks down a login, the decision that sits in an inbox for a week, the context getting rebuilt every time the project moves between people.
