By signing this agreement, you (“Client”) agree to retain Lara Kroeker of Lara Kroeker Interactive (“Service Provider”) to provide design and/or creative direction services as outlined in a booked day-rate engagement, 3-day sprint, or creative partner arrangement, and agree to the terms and conditions set forth below.
Scope of Services
During a booked day-rate engagement, the Service Provider agrees to devote up to eight (8) hours of focused work on assignments determined collaboratively with the Client.
Services may include, but are not limited to:
UX/UI design
Website or digital design
Brand systems and visual direction
Strategy, problem-solving, and execution
Work is typically performed remotely unless otherwise agreed in advance. Scheduling and work priorities will be determined in consultation with the Client. Work normally occurs on weekdays during standard business hours.
3-Day Sprint & Creative Partner Engagements
Three-day sprints and creative partner engagements consist of multiple booked days worked consecutively or over an agreed-upon period. Scope, goals, and deliverables will be outlined prior to booking and may evolve collaboratively during the engagement.
Unless otherwise stated in writing, all terms in this agreement apply equally to single-day, multi-day, and ongoing creative partner engagements.
Support & Follow-Up
Unless otherwise specified in writing, day-rate and sprint engagements include:
Light asynchronous follow-up for clarification related to work completed during the booked engagement
File handoff and documentation where applicable
Any additional design, development, or strategic work beyond the booked time is not included and will require booking additional days or a multi-day package.
Fees & Payment
The standard day rate is $1,600 CAD per day.
Payment is due in full at the time of booking unless otherwise agreed in writing.
For multi-day engagements, a discounted package rate may apply and will be outlined prior to booking.
Additional services booked outside the original scope will be billed separately at the current daily rate.
Any expenses outside of normal overhead are not included in this agreement and will be billed separately if required. Examples include:
Stock imagery
Premium font licenses
Third-party tools or software services
Ownership of Work
Upon full payment, all final creative work produced for the Client becomes the property of the Client and may be used in any manner deemed appropriate.
The Service Provider retains the right to display non-confidential work in portfolios, case studies, presentations, and promotional materials unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Client Authorization & Promotion
The Client understands that written statements, images, audio recordings, or video recordings created during the engagement may be used by the Service Provider for promotional or portfolio purposes.
The Client authorizes the Service Provider to use their name, business name, and brief descriptive information for this purpose unless explicitly requested otherwise in writing.
Cancellation & Rescheduling
All bookings are non-refundable.
Engagements may be rescheduled with a minimum of seven (7) days’ written notice, subject to availability.
Payments are valid for ninety (90) days from the original booking date and must be used within that timeframe.
If the Client does not schedule or complete the engagement within ninety (90) days, or fails to provide the required notice, the booking will be forfeited and the engagement terminated.
At the Service Provider’s discretion, payments may be applied to a future booking at the current rate, which may differ from the original rate.
Agreement
By booking services, the Client confirms that they have read, understood, and agree to the terms outlined above.
