How Much is a WordPress Site?

WordPress Tips and Tricks

People always ask me what a WordPress website will cost them. Without taking into account the amount of time and effort required to create media and write for a website, the cost to properly plan, research, design and develop a professional WordPress website is a lot of work, even if it’s in a free CMS framework.  What makes up the cost of a website is not only how the website looks on the surface, but rather, what lies “under the hood” that makes a website work.

Expectations today are higher. People and businesses want options, customization, and the ability to manage their own content — which makes sense.  Users (and site owners) have expectations for bells and whistles which require more complex solutions, making it imperative that you piece it together properly.  That takes time and money.

We offer a few different WordPress packages but the one that most people want, where everything is taken care of from A to Z, including domain purchase and hosting for 1 year is the professional business package which starts at $5000.00.  This may seem expensive to some people (and way too cheap to others) but it integrates a process that I have developed over the last 15 years.  I also integrate a final learning component which puts the control back into a companies hands PLUS I stick with you over the long run as technologies change.

In reality, an effective, modern website requires a lot of planning, time, attention, effort, and skill. If you’re looking for a branded site that tells your story, reaches your target audience, and is easy to manage, then you should be ready to pay a little bit extra – but keep your expectations in check as well.  To inquire if there is space in our project calendar please get in touch.
